first and foremost, fiction absolutely affects reality. full stop, and if you disagree, don't interact with me. i believe that authors are allowed to explore dark themes, and they do not have to explicitly explain in their work that the dark themes they write about are absolutely immoral, especially in the case of unreliable narrators and the like. this being said, i curate the kind of fiction i read, as i believe everyone should. there are types of fiction that i find inexcusable and i do not engage with it.
